I am currently querying my first novel, a woman’s search to figure out who she is when she’s never had to decide for herself. In her last effort to live up to someone else’s expectation of her, she stops almost unwillingly in a small town at her deceased grandmother’s final wish. Her unexpected arrival begins to unravel relationships, expose life long secrets, and have her searching for something she didn’t know she wanted. She soon finds out she isn’t only trying to figure out who she is, she may also be fighting for her life.

The first draft of my second novel is nearly complete.

Candy and Jess have been lifelong friends and made it through the ups and downs of life with each other. When Jess is diagnosed with a life changing condition, Candy goes back and forth between past and present as she struggles with Jess’s diagnosis, her relationship with her daughter, and with the only request Jess has of her. She has to determine how far she is willing to go for her best friend and if she can live with the consequences of her actions.
